1) What is Insulation for the Nation? Insulation for the Nation is a special project which helps low income households to maximise their income and get free insulation fitted in their home.

2) What are the project aims?
The project aims to help low income householders get the insulation they need for their home, which in turn will help reduce their energy use, help the environment, save money and keep their home warm. The project also provides support to ensure income is maximised through the IncomeMAX benefits and tax credits service.

3) What is the qualifying criteria for the Insulation for the Nation project?
To qualify for free insulation under the Insulation for the Nation project the 'Super Priority Group' criteria must be met, which was set by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) through its Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT) initiative.

The Super Priority Group qualifying criteria is as follows:

You or someone in your household must;

- be aged over 60, or
- be a disabled person, or
- have a disabled child, or
- have a child aged under 5

AND be in receipt of;

- Pension Credit, or
- Child Tax Credit (income below £16,190), or
- Income-based Job Seeker’s Allowance (IB JSA), or
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (IR ESA) which includes a work-related activity or support component, or
- Income Support

People over 70, regardless of benefit entitlement will also be able to access help through the project.

- Insulation for the Nation is a project and initiative provided by IncomeMAX and Osborne Energy which aims to support the needs of low income households that qualify for free insulation through DECC CERT funding. For impartial help and advice on saving energy, including alternative insulation schemes in your area you should contact the Energy Savings Trust on 0800 512 012.

- Without limiting the foregoing, IncomeMAX shall not be liable to you for any incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of this agreement, irrespective of whether you have been advised of the possibility of any such loss or damage. Each party hereby waives any claims that these exclusions deprive such party of an adequate remedy.
