Vulnerable Customers Fund

Supported by

The Shackleton Foundation

There are many people in Great Britain that desperately need the type of help and support that is available from IncomeMAX. Welfare advice is a key cornerstone of alleviating poverty yet every year, many thousands of vulnerable people do not get the benefits and tax credits advice and support they need to fully maximise their income.

IncomeMAX have a unique business model which does not rely on Government funding. Because of this, there are some vulnerable customers that unfortunately fall in-between our funding streams.

At present, the majority of our customers are able to access IncomeMAX free through Commissioned Projects and Organisational Memberships.

To ensure that IncomeMAX can provide help and advice to vulnerable customers, IncomeMAX have launched a unique Vulnerable Customers Fund which we use to award free yearly IncomeMAX memberships to vulnerable customers.

The IncomeMAX Vulnerable Customers Fund is supported by The Shackleton Foundation , who are are committed to supporting vulnerable people and alleviating poverty.

Vulnerable Customer Individual Membership

A vulnerable customer that is awarded a free IncomeMAX Individual Membership from the IncomeMAX Vulnerable Customer Fund will benefit from;

  • Unlimited entitlement checks from our team of experts, to help them understand their entitlement and how their benefits and tax credits have been worked out
  • Help to fully maximise income – including support during Tax Credit, Disability Living Allowance and Employment & Support Allowance renewal periods
  • Advice and advocacy when experiencing benefit and tax credit problems with DWP/HMRC
  • Back-to-work and in-work benefits and tax credits advice
  • Advice on minimising expenditure and finding the right support for debt issues

Ultimately, IncomeMAX will work with each vulnerable customer funded by the IncomeMAX Vulnerable Customer Fund to maximise their income and provide the help and advice they need to enhance their social and financial wellbeing.

Eligible customers must be referred to the service by an organisation that supports vulnerable people.

To access help and advice through the IncomeMAX Vulnerable Customers Fund customers must meet the following ’vulnerability criteria’:

The vulnerable customer must meet the following criteria:

A) Household income must be below £16,190 per year, and

The final decision on vulnerability is always made by the IncomeMAX Managing Director.

We couldn’t do this without our partners

The IncomeMAX Vulnerable Customers Fund would not be possible without the help of our supporting partners, who provide funding to sustain the fund for our vulnerable customers.   IncomeMAX would like to thank The Shackleton Foundation for their support.
