EnergyMAX is a total fuel poverty and fuel debt eradication service, providing a range of comprehensive support options to help people become fuel efficient and fuel-debt free.
Income Maximisation
- Benefit check to maximise benefits and tax credit entitlement
- In-work advice to maximise employment income
Outcome: Household/customer income fully maximised
Expenditure minimisation
- Energy and water bill tariff advice (including Warm Homes Discount)
- Budgeting advice
- Discussions and agreements on future energy and water bill payments
- Referral into The Money Advice Service network (if required)
Outcome: Household/customer expenditure minimised, best value energy and water tariffs applied for, household/customer budget sustainable (inc future energy/water bill payments)
Help to find the right debt advice
- Debt advice (e.g. free to customer services including Advice UK member centres, CAB etc)
- Debt management (e.g. free to customer services including Payplan)
- Fuel debt and water debt initiatives provided by the customer’s energy/water company
Outcome: Household/customer dealing with their debts, household/customer accesses relevant energy and water company debt initiatives
Charitable trusts and corporate grants
- Charitable trust fund and corporate grant support provided by Charis, Auriga or individual energy and water companies (e.g. for help with energy/water bill arrears)
Outcome: Household/customer to access relevant charitable trust funds and corporate grants
Thermal comfort measures
- Loft and cavity wall insulation
- Appropriate heating
- Home retrofitting
- Access to new technologies and feed-in tariffs (e.g. solar)
- Green Deal finance options
Outcome: Household/customers home is warm and energy efficient
Energy and water efficiency advice
- Help to access energy company energy efficiency advice services
- Help to access water company water efficiency advice Referral into Energy Saving Trust
Outcome: Household/customer to access expert energy and water efficiency advice
Social well-being
- Help to access help and support for all other social well-being requirements e.g. legal/health/family/disability/mental health etc
Outcome: Household/customer access help and advice for all other social wellbeing requirements
How to access the EnergyMAX service
At present we are only able to accept EnergyMAX customer referrals directly from energy and water companies that have commissioned the service. Please contact your energy or water company if you would like to access the EnergyMAX service.
